Miami-Dade Housing Authority Hope VI Failures Scott Carver
How people in Miami got forced out of their neighborhood to make room for Habitat for Humanity. Is that fair?
Investigative reporter Keith Wilson
Over a two year period we've surveyed nearly 500 property owners in Miami-Dade County. All of those interviewed expressed discontent and outrage at Miami-Dade County Team Metro officials.
How thorough their codes and ordinances! They're trespassing with government impunity on thousands and thousands of properties, both business and residential, owned by the citizens of Miami-Dade county. They're secretly working with multi million dollar developers to facilitate the county. The community redevelopment (Master Plan) is running low income property owners off their property with "shotguns loaded with code violations, fines and $500 tickets as ammunition"
We're Team Metro - we control your property
They're leaving citations, warning letters and $500 tickets for unsuspecting victims, caught owning properties in the target areas of the Miami-Dade County community redevelopment master plan zones.
No other communities or incorporated areas of Miami-Dade are so affected by the Team Metro selective code enforcement as are the targeted, unincorporated, low income communities in Miami-Dade, Florida.
Team Metro is a dream come true for multi-million dollar developers.
The feeling of the property owners is that this particular agency of our government is not on their side - and hasn't been since its conception.

This is so sad...
The vast majority of moderate or low income earners in Miami-Dade county believe that there is a conspiracy between Team Metro and the multi million dollar predator investors who have tried for years to buy out the low income properties, but have failed. Until Team Metro arrived, that is. They began the legal action necessary for the multi-million dollar developers to snatch up the low income properties left, right and center.
When you connect the dots of the conspiracy theory, a clear picture emerges. It traces Team Metro directly to the Miami-Dade County community redevelopment master plan.
The first phase of that plan is Hope VI, which went wild with the assistance of the Miami-Dade housing authority, aka "The house of lies".
God never liked ugliness - government corruption is the equivalent to thugs standing on the street selling crack cocaine.
A crime is a crime, regardless of who commits it. Miami-Dade County Team Metro needs auditing and down-sizing.
Miami Dade County Housing Authority Hope VI scandal leaves thousands of Miami-Dade County low income families "Homeless and Displaced". The long-term effect of this scandal is yet to be calculated...
It is the wide-spread opinion of the citizens of Miami-Dade that there a direct link exists between Team Metro, multi-million dollar developers, investment predators and the Miami-Dade County's long standing community redevelopment master plan program This program is really designed to rotate and relocate low income property owners and government assisted housing residents from those targeted areas - to be replaced by other ethnic groups.
The Miami Herald screwed that secret up with their blockbuster publication of the "House of Lies" story... stay tuned, Team Metro is "government gone wild"!
Senior citizens have lost their homes because of the relentless, unforgiving fines and code violations against their properties by Team Metro.
We respectfully request that the Honorable Mayor of Miami-Dade County, Mr. Carlos Alvarez, roll back the "Pit bull tactics" of Team Metro and offer more community friendly service so that the people of Miami-Dade County may benefit, not the million dollar developers or the predator property investors.
